There is a Big Problem: The Bible says sin hinders our relationship with God.

Sin is failing to reach the standard of God's perfect love. Sin is choosing our way instead of God's way. In fact any action or thought that is selfish is sin. Every time we put the news on we see the negative effects of sin.  Sin has ruined this world but there is hope.

The Big Solution: Jesus came to this earth to rescue us.
God's just anger against the selfishness of humanity meant that there had to be a punishment for sin. This is just like what happens in our law courts; when a criminal commits a crime there is a punishment.

Jesus died for one reason: to set you free. He took a punishment that was not his to take. It was yours. He took it so that you wouldn't need to.
